INCARNATION PLAYER RULES

By playing the game, you agree to the following Rules:

Incarnation is a game to be enjoyed by everyone of all ages. We ask that you act in a manner that does not take away other's enjoyment of the game. Acting in a way that is disruptive to another player in Incarnation is unacceptable. All your actions including chat are part of the game. Your behaviors must conform. These could include some of the following examples but aren't limited to:
Abusive Names: You may choose any name you like, however if any of the staff at Incarnation find the name to be vulgar, illegal, profane, innapropriate, has the potential to be abused, or is required for some reason by game staff, you will have to log on with a different name.
Bashing: Bashing or making derogatory statements to staff or players about other players/staff or dissatisfaction with the game in public is not
allowed. If you are found to have done this, action will be taken to prevent it from happening again. Attempts will be made to remedy your problem. Comments such as "This game sucks" or "He is an idiot" do not offer any detail into the situation and will be ignored. Problems with another player should be taken to a Guardian. Should you have a problem with a Guardian, please contact a different Guardian, or HandyGM via /m.
Moderated gossip and the Open Room Rules: Incarnation is played by players of all ages; therefore, cursing, racial comments, obscenities, religious proseletyzing, anything illegal, and adult topics are not permitted in gossip or open rooms. This includes publicly announcing or sharing URLs or Internet Addresses which lead to such sites that contain adult language, material, or anything illegal. Please do not use gossip as a means to promote or advertise any product, service or website. While sharing a general-interest website address is fine, continuous promotion or attempts to sell products and services is prohibited.
Harrassment: Harrassing players and staff is not permitted. Harrassing includes verbal abuse of another player, verbal confrontations (looking for an argument where one is unwarranted), unwanted advances to another player, etc. If another player is harrassing you, please put them on ignore immediately and get in contact with one of the Incarnation staff (GM's). Action will be taken accordingly. Pretending to be one of the Incarnation staff is also not allowed and will be dealt with accordingly.
Guardians: Guardians (GM) are here to help the players enjoy the game, by helping players as needed, monitoring gossip, and sometimes room chat. When a player doesn't follow the rules, the Guardians are allowed to take action at their own discretion. If you disagree with a Guardian's ruling, you may speak to that Guardian or a different Guardian. You may NOT publicly bash the game or the Guardians during the time that your case is being decided upon. If this happens, you give up your right to be able to discuss it any further with any staff, and the ruling from the guardian stands. Also bashing one Gaurdian when talking to another is no way to solve the dispute, as Gaurdians usually share information.
Disruptive behavior: Incarnation is a game to be enjoyed by all, if you are acting in a disruptive manner towards others in the game (players/Incarnation staff) and taking the enjoyment out of the game by acting disruptive, action will be taken accordingly.
Hacking: Attempting to hack Incarnation is a serious offense. Anyone trying to break into the server, create bugs, crash the game, create "cheat" programs, access other player's accounts or otherwise manipulate, modify or damage the server, program or account(s) will be banned immediately. This includes attempting to steal or lying to receive other player's passwords. Please note, no staff from Incarnation will ever ask you for your password, if someone does, please do NOT give it to them.
*Note that finding and reporting bugs is not considered hacking! Players that report bugs are greatly appreciated, and oftentimes receive a special 'reward.' : )
In general, be courteous to others. For instance, things like USING ALL CAPS IN A SENTENCE should be refrained from, it is considered yelling online and is frowned upon. These rules are to be taken as 'general guidelines.' We reserve the right to modify these rules in the future. For now, Guardians have great leeway in deciding what is appropriate and what is not, and their experiences will help us modify these rules to fit player needs in the future. cancel any player's account if they are found to be a discipline problem and are here to ruin other's enjoyment of the game. If you do not like the game, no one here is forcing you to stay. While you are here, you are expected to act within the spirit of these rules. *Rules are subject to change as the need may arise and without notice.
We hope you enjoy your stay in Incarnation!
